Presented by Law Seminars International

The Annual "Energy in the Southwest Conference" will update industry executives, agency representatives and practitioners on current market and regulatory conditions in the Southwest. Our faculty of leading energy professionals will look at gas supplies, new pipelines and capacity allocations, and the effect of LNG as well as new transmission projects. They will explore how utilities and regulators can deal with risk and uncertainty; carbon tax; gas volatility; water shortages and new environmental regulations. Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada Commission representatives will provide insight into changes in utility regulation and competition with a special address by Chairman Marc Spitzer of the Arizona Corporate Commission. Of further special interest is a panel on making outsourcing decisions from the vendor and customer perspectives and panels on diversifying generation and energy innovations. Finally, Mark Nichols, CEO of the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, will discuss tribal energy issues.
