Workshop Instructor:

Ms. Deniese Palmer-Huggins, Vice President, Prudential Securities

Ms. Palmer-Huggins recently joined Prudential Securities focusing on the energy industry. Ms. Palmer-Huggins received her BA with highest honors in 1977 from the University of Texas at Austin and was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa the same year. She began her career in 1980 at Banque Paribas Houston financing domestic and international energy trading companies. In 1983, she joined the Finance department of Transworld Oil, a large international energy trading and marketing firm. In 1985, she participated in Transworld's transition team when it purchased Arco's refining and marketing assets in Philadelphia and formed Atlantic Refining and Marketing. In 1986, she was promoted to Treasurer of Transworld (USA) Inc. In 1992, she joined Bayoil (USA) as its Treasurer and Manager of its offshore company, Bayoil SA, a crude oil marketing firm which sourced crude oil and refined products in the Black Sea, Middle East, Eastern Europe and the U.S. In 1997, she joined the New York Mercantile Exchange as Director of its newly formed Houston office representing the energy exchange in the energy capital.
