Global Peak Oil Gathering.

19, 20 October 2004, Koblenz, Germany

Looking at the current energy- and energy-investment trends, the coming years will be challenging.
Demand will soon exceed supply and investment requirements seem to prevent much needed projects.
We might have enough oil to supply future demand, but for how long?
And what will be the environmental side-effects if we use it all?
Diversification is clearly needed, but in what direction?
And how will all this reflect on the price of oil in the future?

The matter is complex and needs to be looked at in a global context.

That is why Alexander's Gas & Oil Connections (www.gasandoil.com),
after 10 years of providing news on the global gas & oil industry,
is organising on 19 and 20 October, in Koblenz, Germany the

Global Peak Oil Gathering.

In this 2 day Gathering and Think-tank all these issues, and more, will feature.
We will do this by looking at the truth of the matter and by hearing experts with different views.
And after being guided into the complexity of the matter, we will have an extended workshop and Think-tank
about current and future energy-policies.
Here the individual and collective intelligence of the speakers AND the participants will be put to work.

This is of interest for all people concerned with energy-planning and -forecasting,
for the industry as well as for governments or institutions.

Speakers include:

- Mr. J. M. Bourdaire, World Energy Council: Current challenges for the energy industry,

- Colin Campbell: Peak Oil, depletion and other realities,
