The U.S. Department of Energy requests proposals for Building Technologies State Energy Outreach and Deployment. This initiative will support creative initiatives that increase energy savings in the residential and commercial building sectors and integrate Building America, Building Codes & Standards, Energy Star and Rebuild America.
$3.3 million expected to be available, 8 to 15 awards anticipated.

10) Iowa Energy Efficiency Performance Contracting
Alliant Energy - Interstate Power & Light seeks proposals from vendors to act as a Third Party Administrator for their Iowa-based Performance Contracting Program. This program encourages energy efficiency in the nonresidential sector by providing project developers with a risk premium, generally 150% of the value of a project's annual energy savings. Primary duties will include, but not be limited to: Identifying new project opportunities, training participants, coordinating site evaluations, and calculating baseline energy savings.
