Formerly known as the Argus SCR Report, the data are now expanded to include other forms of NO_x control, including selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR), low NO_x burners and overfire air.

Plant owners in 29 eastern states are now projected to install even more controls on their plants over the next decade to meet the new Clean Air Interstate Rule requirements, which will limit NO_x in the summer and in some states year round.

New mercury rules are also adding to the incentive to install SCRs. Including scrubbers, utilities are projected to spend $52 billion over the next two decades to meet EPA rules.
