Distributed Generation & Distributed Energy Storage

The second edition of Darnell Groups' comprehensive global analysis of emerging opportunities for Distributed Energy Resources (DER) will be expanded to include demand for Power Electronics in Distributed Generation and Distributed Energy Storage. DER applications within the scope of this report include Combined Heat and Power, Standby, Peak Shaving, Grid Support and Stand Alone.

In addition to considering traditional DG technologies, this effort will provide detailed analysis and forecasts for emerging DG technologies such as Biomass (including natural gas) Turbines, Photovoltaics, Wind Turbines, Microturbines, and Fuel Cells. The DG analysis will include sales forecasts for Inverters, Variable Frequency Converters, Static Transfer Switches, and so on. Expanded analysis will detail opportunities for Distributed Energy Storage (DES) technologies including: batteries, flow batteries, flywheels, superconducting magnetic energy storage, supercapacitors, compressed air energy storage, and so on.
