Creating the Climate for Change

Sustainable Energy Finance Roundtable,
27th October 2005, New York City

In the midst of rising oil prices, new markets for carbon emissions trading, and billion dollar plans to rebuild New Orleans after Katrina, the 2nd SEFI Roundtable will take place in New York City on October 27, 2005.
1 Day only - Network with the Experts

The Roundtable will help financiers understand how and where new investment patterns are evolving in an energy sector that will require $500 billion of new capital a year for the coming decades. How these funds are invested will determine the sustainability of the global energy mix for the next century.  The financial sector is a key player in developing market solutions to the challenge of building a sustainable energy future.

Significant milestones this year make 2005 a crossroads in the shift to a sustainable energy path. The Kyoto start-up and post-2012 negotiations, a G8 Action Plan on climate change, and a new US energy bill are all poised to help the clean energy market become a mature global industry.  Roundtable participants will learn how they can help drive and benefit from this shift.
