British Nuclear Group to Set Up Central European Headquarters in Prague

British Nuclear Group (BNG) (UK), specializing in nuclear equiment dismantling and disposal, plans to set up its central European headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2005. Then it plans to expand to central and eastern Europe, primarily the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Russia and Bulgaria. BNG came into existence in early Apr 2005 as a result of the transformation of the state company British Nuclear Fuel (UK). In the past it owned and operated nuclear facilities and was involved in their disposal. BNG, which has around 15,000 employees, focuses above all on the safe closure of nuclear power plants when their life comes to an end, and it does the expert disposal of nuclear waste. Besides, it is involved in the disposal of old nuclear submarines
