Dynetek Delivers
Hydrogen Fuel Storage Solutions to TUG Technologies
Dec 23, 2005 - Canada Newswire
CALGARY, Dec. 23 /CNW/ - Dynetek Industries Ltd. ("Dynetek"), a
leader in developing, producing and marketing lightweight compressed
natural gas (CNG) and compressed Hydrogen storage cylinders and complete
fuel storage systems, announced today that together with its alliance
partner enviroMECH Industries Ltd., it has delivered two 350bar
(5000psi) Hydrogen Fuel Storage Systems to TUG Technologies to be used
in tow tractors at the Orlando International Airport.
This demonstration project utilizes Dynetek's Hydrogen Fuel Storage
System solutions by providing Hydrogen to tow tractors powered by a Ford
Motor Company internal combustion engine. The Hydrogen Internal
Combustion Engine (H2 ICE) vehicle platform provides the reliability
necessary for the adoption of Hydrogen as an alternative vehicle fuel.
"We are pleased to be working with TUG Technologies on this project,"
said Robb Thompson, Dynetek's President and CEO. "This project provides
an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how Hydrogen powered vehicles
provide a great solution to the environmental pollution problems that
currently exist at airports throughout North America."
In 2006, in addition to the tow tractors, Dynetek's Hydrogen Fuel
Storage System will be showcased on eight V-10, Ford F-450 shuttles
operating in the Orlando area, including at the Orlando airport.
Dynetek's Hydrogen Fuel Storage Systems provide a lightweight solution,
reducing overall vehicle weight, with time efficient installation, while
providing extended driving range, efficient fleet operation, and easy
system inspection and maintenance.
"The support we have received from Dynetek and enviroMECH on this
demonstration project helped make the implementation and adoption of
this new Hydrogen powered vehicle a very easy transition for our
company," said Tom Gable from TUG Technologies. "The introduction of
low-emission and zero emission vehicles is an important step in our
efforts to improve air quality at the Orlando International Airport."
TUG Technologies is a well-recognized industry leader in providing
ground support equipment to airports. Funding for this Hydrogen
demonstration project has been provided by the State of Florida,
Department of Environmental Protection in an effort to improve air
quality at the Orlando International Airport.
