The National Center for Electronics Recycling has received a $100,000 award to promote electronics recycling in West Virginia.

The NCER is teaming up with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection and recyclers Amandi Services and SDR Technologies to host a series of electronics collection events throughout the state in 2006.

The West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation dispensed the grant.

Amandi Services will recycle the used electronics, and SDR Technologies will accept plastics from demanufactured devices collected at the events.
