APS Seeks 1,000 Megawatts of Long-Term Resources

Arizona Public Service Company (APS) announced today that it has issued a request for proposal (RFP) seeking at least 1,000 megawatts of long-term energy resources for delivery beginning in June 2007.
"We continue to take important steps today to plan for the energy needs of our customers tomorrow," said Don Robinson, APS Vice President of Planning. "The significant growth and development we've seen in our state over the past decade is showing no sign of slowing and we have to continue to stay ahead of that curve."
Competitive proposals for this "Reliability" RFP must be for a period of not less than five years and provide a minimum capacity of 25 megawatts.
