The U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency is accepting nominations for the 2005 Presidential Green
Chemistry Challenge Awards that recognize innovative, environmentally
friendly chemical technologies.
Entries should incorporate green chemistry into chemical design,
manufacture and use and have broad applications in industry, according
to the EPA.
Typically, five awards are given each year - one each in the
categories of academic research and small business and three in a
category for larger companies.
Nominations must be postmarked by Dec. 31. Information is available
