Summary For September 12-18
Large solar flares resulted in R3 (major) radio blackouts on 13 and 15 September. Several R1 (minor) and R2 (moderate) radio blackouts occurred between 12 – 17 September due to multiple solar flares from NOAA sunspot Region 808. A Category S3 (strong) radiation storm began on 08 September and ended on 16 September. Category G1 (minor) (12 –
15 September), category G2 (moderate) (12, 13, 15 September), and category G3 (strong) (15 September) geomagnetic storm periods were observed as a result of clouds of magnetic material associated with large solar eruptions on the Sun.

Outlook For September 21-27
No significant space weather is expected during the forecast period.
