Davis Besse nuke to 'sync' to the grid by Monday: First Energy

First Energy will restart its Davis-Besse plant during the weekend and "synch"
it to the grid by Monday, a company spokesman said Friday. The 906-MW nuclear
unit early Wednesday had tripped from full power as workers were carrying out
testing on circuit breakers related to the reactor's protection system. The
ensuing search for the root cause of the trip ended with the discovery of a
blown fuse, he added. Davis Besse is in Oak Harbor, Ohio, 21 miles east
southeast of Toledo.
