To catch the sun" is
the guideline of the architecture firms
"oehler
faigle archkom solar architektur". One of the most energy-efficient
passive-office-buildings in Europe was built for the company
JuWi
GmbH under this motto. The solar building is oriented towards
the sun and its tilted and arched facade, which is 50% paned and 50% fotovoltaic,
transforms the sun light directly into heat and electricity.
In this way the certified
passive-office-building produces much more electricity as the energy saving
workstations consume.
A CO2-neutral wood-pellet heater supplies the rest of the heating and warm water
needs.
Architect Stefan Oehler will present the project during "EnergieTage Hessen 2004" at the seminar "Passivhouse in a tight spot?" on Friday, 05th November in Wetzlar (near Frankfurt)
