Baden-Wuerttemberg Takes Precautions

Citizens in Baden-Wuerttemberg that live closer than ten kilometres to a nuclear reactor can get free high-dosage iodine tablets from the pharmacy for the first time.  30 million tablets are being provided. They do not provide a shield against atomic radiation, but they do decrease the risk of cancer in the case of a reactor accident.
