FERC Extends Filing Deadline in
Small-Generator Interconnection Proceeding
Thursday, December 9, 2004
The Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has extended the deadline to February
18, 2005, for comments on the Commission's development of standardized
interconnection agreements and procedures for small generators. The decision was
made in response to a request by the Small Generator Coalition (SGC), the
National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and the Edison Electric
Institute (EEI). These parties intend to submit additional consensus proposals
regarding the development of interconnection standards for systems under 20 MW.
Under terms of the extension, FERC has required the parties to file a detailed
status report explaining its progress on or before January 18, 2005
