Average US regular gasoline price down 1.7 cts to $2.034/gal: EIA

Average US retail regular-grade gasoline prices have dropped for the second
straight week, sliding 1.7 cts over the past seven days to $2.034/gal, the US
Energy Information Administration reported Monday. Despite the drop,
nationwide average pump prices are still 54.4 cts higher than the
corresponding week a year ago. Midwest regular prices fell the most
week-to-week, sliding 2.5 cts to $1.975/gal. West Coast regional average pump
prices, the highest in the nation, dropped 1.5 cts for the week ended June 7
to average $2.276/gal. East Coast retail prices slipped 1.4 cts to average a
record $2.026/gal. Gulf Coast prices dipped 1.5 cts to average $1.91/gal,
while Rocky Mountain prices dropped 0.6 ct to $2.006/gal.
