Crystalline silicon technology was used to create two new solar panels, the PowerMax Ultra and the PowerMax Plus, for the Shell company's solar product lines. They are said to be 10 percent more powerful than the current solar panels available in the market today, and are designed to provide a new set of solutions for grid-connected and off-grid applications. New product options are also available for the panels to provide tailor made energy solutions for applications ranging from multi-MW solar power plants to small private households to remote telecommunication sites. Different mounting configurations, new means for easy grounding and pre-assembled multi-contact plugs have made installation easier.
