Xantrex launches performance guarantee
and new extended warranty packages for large scale solar inverters
by Scott MacFarlane
BURNABY, B.C., CANADA, June 15, 2004 - Xantrex
customers can now enjoy the benefits and peace of mind offered by upgraded
warranty and new performance guarantee packages for its PV Series grid-tie solar
inverters installed in the U.S. and Canada.
Xantrex has extended its standard warranty for its PV Series from one year to
five years. For customers who want additional coverage, the company is
introducing new extended warranty packages, which provide the option to purchase
5- or 10-year extensions to the standard warranty for a total of 10 or 15 years
of coverage.
Xantrex is also introducing a premium service offering called the Performance
Guarantee, which can run concurrently with the standard warranty or for 10- and
15-year total coverage periods. The Performance Guarantee supplements standard
warranty provisions plus enhanced features including:
- Priority on-site response times by Xantrex
- Guaranteed system uptime levels
- Compensation for system downtime beyond the 3% allowable in the performance
guarantee. Compensation escalates based on rising interconnection and inflation
rates.
"Xantrex is committed to providing world-class service to support our
world-class products," said Al-Karim Kara, Xantrex Vice President, Customer
Service. "Our new service packages are the best way for our customers to
protect their investment and to ensure top performance from their PV Series
systems."
The Xantrex service packages offer additional protection against the costs
associated with unforeseen repairs. For additional information about the Xantrex
warranty and performance guarantee packages, contact a Xantrex renewable energy
