US Gulf shut-ins Wednesday 215,053 b/d oil, 0.746 Bcf/d gas: MMS

Shut-in production in the Gulf of Mexico stood at 215,053 b/d of crude oil and
745,980 Mcf/d of natural gas as of Wednesday, the US Minerals Management
Service reported in its daily update. 
 
The figures represent 12.65% of normal oil output of 1.7-mil b/d and 6.06% 
of normal gas output of 12.3 Bcf/d. 
 
MMS said that cumulative oil shut-ins since Sep 11, when Hurricane Ivan stormed
through the region, amounted to 27,428,422 bbl, or 4.534% of yearly production
of 605-mil bbl, while cumulative gas shut-ins stood at 111.758 Bcf, or 2.511%
of yearly output of 4.45 Tcf. 
 
On Tuesday, MMS reported that oil shut-ins were
at 218,425 b/d, while gas shut-ins were 725,880 Mcf/d.
