From October 18-22, San Francisco will host the largest business-to-business and business-to-consumer solar conference ever in the United States. For more information, please visit http://www.solarpower2004.com

3) COLORADO'S VOTE ON RENEWABLE ENERGY

One of the most important renewable energy efforts in the country is taking place now in Colorado, where supporters have put a Renewables

Portfolio Standard, with a portion dedicated directly to promote solar energy, on the ballot. This is the nation's first statewide referendum on renewable energy, and for that reason it is being closely watched as a bellweather for future statewide efforts across the country. Polling shows the public supports the measure but the local utilities are putting up stiff, and well-funded, resistance. To help support this critical cause, go to:

4) CALIFONIA SOLAR NEWS

As expected, Governor Schwarzenegger signed a bill (AB 135) today making available another $60 million for solar energy next year in California. The governor reiterated his committment to his plan to install one million solar energy systems in California. This plan, which is likely to be submitted to the legislature next year will be the largest solar program in the country and we will need every supporter to help pass it when the time comes. You can email the governor to thank him for support for solar energy at governor@governor.ca.gov

Stay tuned.
