China to generate additional 500 million kw of generating capacity

A senior official of the Chinese power industry said here on October 18 China will be have an additional installed capacity of 500 million kW of electricity in the next 15 years.
Chai Songyue, chairman of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, said at the 15th Conference on Electric Power Supply Industry, a major technical conference sponsored by the Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and Western Pacific ( AESIEAP).
He said China will speed up international cooperation and exchanges in developing its power industry.
The conference, which runs from October 18 to October 22, brings together more than 2,000 people from 37 countries and regions, including administrators, technicalexperts, equipment manufacturers and researchers. Enditem (?)
