This isn't your grandfather's ethanol-sipping sedan. The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) and the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) announced that Mark Thomas, five-time International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Funny Car champion will bring his ethanol-powered drag car to Capitol Hill to promote ethanol on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 from 1 to 4 pm ET. A press conference will be held at 1 pm at Garfield Circle, off of Independence Avenue, between the U.S. Capitol and the National Botanical Garden. Members of Congress and ethanol supporters will join Thomas to discuss ethanol's role in our Nation's energy policy. Congressional members and staff have been invited to meet Thomas and see his champion racecar.
