Fresh nuclear fuel was loaded into the reactor during maintenance works. By
early Sunday [19 September] generation at the reactor had been increased to 80
per cent of its projected capacity.
Meanwhile, unit No 3 of the same nuclear plant was disconnected from the
power grid for scheduled maintenance. Maintenance works should continue until 6
November.
In accordance with an arrangement with the dispatcher service of the
country's power grid, power unit No 1 at the Khmelnytskyy nuclear power station
was also stopped for pre-emptive repairs of its turbogenerator. The repair works
will be completed by 26 September.
As of today, 11 out of Ukraine's 14 nuclear power units are generating
