ExxonMobil, BP, ConocoPhillips plan pipeline for ANS gas
New York (Platts)--23Jan2004
Alaska's three major gas producers have filed a plan for
a pipeline project to bring to market the North Slope's vast gas reserves, a BP
spokesman said Friday. BP, ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil submitted the
application to state Dept of Revenues for authority to jointly build the gas
line on Jan 13, the BP spokesman said. The BP spokesman said further details of
the producer group's pipeline are expected to be unveiled later Friday. Word of
the producers' pipeline followed an announcement Thursday by Governor Frank
Murkowski that MidAmerican Energy wants to build a 4.5 Bcf/d gas line from the
North Slope to the Alaska-Yukon border, where it would connect with a line to
the US Midwest.
