Kyocera Introduces SAMURAI Photovoltaic Modules

Kyocera has introduced the SAMURAI photovoltaic system designed to enhance the appearance of solar arrays mounted on residential buildings. SAMURAI is constructed with a unique aluminum "micro-frame," for a thinner and lighter design than conventional Kyocera KC Series modules.

The system consists of two different sizes of modules and three types of standard length rails, making it easy to maximize the use of available roof space. This configuration also eliminates the need for custom-ordered mounting racks and the traditional waiting period while they are made to order, according to Kyocera. SAMURAI incorporates Kyocera's high-efficiency "d.Blue" polycrystalline photovoltaic cells. SAMURAI will be officially introduced to the U.S. market January 19–22 at the International Builders' Show in Las Vegas. For additional information, visit www.kyocerasolar.com.
