LNG market may see a 'gas OPEC': Centrica's Ulrich
London (Platts)--29Mar2004
The gross of the liquified natural gas market could mirror that of the oil
market and see the development of a "gas OPEC," Centrica Energy
managing director Jake Ulrich said Monday. Speaking at a UBS conference in
London, Ulrich said gas prices would be "fairly strong" for the next
two to three years but would then weaken. Ulrich said the UK-Belgium gas
interconnector had reinforced the oil-gas price linkage over the past few years,
but this would not continue.
