HOUSTON, April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Reliant Energy's new Bighorn
electric generating facility will begin supplying 452 megawatts of capacity to
Nevada Power Company beginning this summer. Known as a tolling agreement, the contract calls for Nevada Power to supply
natural gas to Reliant, which will convert that gas to electricity for a fixed
tolling fee. The 16-month contract begins on June 1, 2004 and extends through
the 2004 and 2005 peak summer periods. It provides Nevada Power with
full-dispatch rights over the course of the contract for up to 482 MW of base-
load capacity and energy. Nevada Power will use the energy for its customers

facility consists of two gas turbines and one steam turbine that operate in a
