WHAT
A two-day celebration of renewable energy, green building,
organic farming, social change and inspired living for the
entire family. This fun-filled educational weekend features more
than 150 exhibitors, 60 workshops, keynote speakers,
entertainment and a special "KidsZone" filled with
games, art projects and more, all located in seven separate
tented areas. Presented by Kyocera in cooperation with the City
of Scottsdale.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:
Solar energy, ecological literacy, green building, hydrogen,
spirituality, the environment, even the greening of Hollywood,
have all been covered by our illustrious main stage speakers.
This year stepping up to the podium will be the president of the
American Hydrogen Association Roy McAlister. Actor and
environmental advocate Ed Begley, Jr. will be joining us. Ed is
involved in the Environmental Media Association (EMA), which is
working to "green up" television and the movies. Dan
Chiras, Ph.D., author of 20 books, including the best-selling
book The Natural House: A Complete Guide to Healthy,
Energy-Efficient, Environmental Homes will also share his
insights with us. David Orr from Oberlin College and author of
the landmark book Earth in Mind and a new book, The Refuge will
offer us pragmatic and sound solutions to our present day
challenges. Don't miss Hunter Lovins co-founder of the Rocky
Mountain Institute offering market-based solutions that fosters
the efficient and restorative use of natural, human and other
capital.

In the Alternative Vehicle Area, witness vehicles available
today and some that are moving us into tomorrow. Stroll through
the City of Scottsdale Pavilion and learn about one of only a
handful of complete and innovative Green Building Programs in
the nation. At the Natural Home Showcase, you'll learn how to
improve indoor air quality with nontoxic products from the
ground up: healthy flooring, bedding, linens, paint, cabinets
and furniture. Finally, in our Natural Food Court, parents can
feel good about sending children to "grab a bite,"
knowing that the food available at SolFest will be delicious and
nutritious.

SolFest features entertainment and activities for the entire
family...
Visit the YOGA D'OM presented by Body & Soul Magazine for
revitalizing yoga classes. While you're there, be sure to enter
the "Nurture Your Body & Soul" Sweepstakes for a

the yoga student.
Groove to the talented musicians and entertainers on the
mainstage. Peruse the bookstore and meet your favorite speakers.
