Lead-Based Paint Program Support
The U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency announces its intent to

contract proposals for Federal Lead-Based Paint Program
Support.
The purpose of the Federal program is to ensure that
individuals
conducting lead-based paint activities in target housing
and
child-occupied facilities are properly trained in lead-safe work
practices
and that those individuals receive quality training through
accredited

Housing Preservation Grant
The U.S.
Department of Agriculture, Rural Housing Service
requests
proposals for its Housing Preservation Grant (HPG)
program. The
HPG program provides eligible entities grant funds
to assist
very low- and low-income homeowners to repair and
rehabilitate
their homes in rural areas, and to assist rental property
owners and
cooperative housing complexes to repair and rehabilitate
their
units if they agree to make such units available to low- and very
low-income
persons. $9.9 million was available
in FY03, FY04 level

Resource Conservation Funds
The U.S.

Resource Conservation Funds. Unique
and innovative projects
proposals
should fit into categories including but not limited to:

National Research Initiative (NRI) Competitive Grants Program.

purpose of the NRI Program is to support research, extension,

education grants that address key problems of national, regional,
