CIGRÉ Canada Conference on Power Systems

Challenges and impact of wind energy integration on existing power grids

This is the first conference organized by CIGRÉ's Canadian National Committee. This major event in power systems will provide an exceptional venue to CIGRÉ members and interested parties for presenting fundamental and technological developments and for promoting key suppliers of products and services for electrical power systems.

The Conference will bring together power systems engineers, decision makers, economists, academics and others with interest in the profession. It is meant to showcase Canadian contributions, as well as to promote CIGRÉ as a strong technical organization, capable of contributing to the Canadian technical expertise and know-how through its study committees and the technical documents they produce as well as its conference proceedings.

The 2006 session hosted by Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie and supported by CIGRÉ will be held in Montréal, at the Hyatt Regency hotel, from October 1-4.
