Utilisation of renewable gases for the production of green energy
G.A.S. Energietechnologie GmbH is a company which focuses on the utilisation of renewable gases for the production of green energy and simultaneous avoidance of harmful emissions. The G.A.S. technology produces CO2-equivalents at extremely low costs and has proven itself in more than 600 plants built in Europe within the last 20 years.

G.A.S. offers solution concepts for every phase of the project – from project development and realisation to operation, maintenance and optimisation of the plants. Depending on the requirements of the individual project G.A.S. provides consulting services as well as technological support in flaring and power generation projects.

G.A.S.’ first CDM-project will be realised in Quito / Ecuador in cooperation with its local partner Alquimiatec S.A.: The Zámbiza landfill is located northeast of the city of Quito with approx. 5 mill. t of waste deposited. In a first step a gas collection and flaring system is installed, thus converting the methane from the landfill gas into CO2. Depending on gas quality the next step might be the gas utilisation for electrical power generation with gas engines. The total of estimated greenhouse gas abated (in metric tons of CO2-equivalent) for 10 years is around 895.000 t CO2-eq.
