Canada's White Rose crude output to hit 100,000 b/d by end-May

New York (Platts)--21Apr2006

Crude production from the White Rose development off Canada's Atlantic
coast rose is set to reach 100,000 b/d by the end of May, compared with the
average in the first quarter of 65,000 b/d, through the addition of two more
wells to that field, a spokesman for operator Husky said.

White Rose production began in November 2005, and the field currently has
three wells in operation, he said late Thursday.

Meanwhile, plans are still on track to carry out maintenance at the field
during September for 15 days, he said, denying market talk that there may be
some postponement.

Field maintenance typically involves either shutting down the entire
field or keeping it running at reduced rates.
