CHISASIBI, Apr 6, 2006 -- Canada NewsWire

Yudinn Energy Inc., a wind energy company formed by the Cree Nation of Chisasibi and Ventus Energy Inc., is developing new wind generation facilities along the La Grande River corridor within the traditional lands of Chisasibi.

The electricity to be produced by these facilities is intended for export to New Brunswick, Ontario, and U.S markets.

Yudinn intends to comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing the exporting of its electricity.

On March 31st 2006, Yudinn filed an application with the National Energy Board for the export of 204 megawatts of wind-generated energy. Earlier, on November 18th 2005, Yudinn also filed an application for environmental assessment of two projects under section 22 of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement.

Representatives of Yudinn and Chisasibi met with the Minister of Natural Resources on June 29th 2005 regarding Yudinn's intention to develop wind-generation facilities in James Bay.

Wind is a renewable energy source which has great development potential in the James Bay Territory and will bring significant economic benefits to the Abitibi region and to the province of Quebec as a whole. These facilities will also further the goal announced by the Government of Quebec to become a leader in wind energy in North America.
