BILLINGS, Mont., Apr 21, 2006 -- BUSINESS WIRE

Billings Clinic is proud to announce Senator Conrad Burns will visit our facility for the dedication of an ultra-clean Hybrid Fuel Cell Power Plant. The Direct FuelCell/Turbine(R) (DFC/T(R)) power plant achieved a record-setting 56% electrical efficiency - a mark unparalleled for distributed energy products in its size range. Billings Clinic was selected as the host site for this combined-cycle power plant, which generates electricity from a fuel cell and a microturbine from natural gas without combustion. As a result, our community will benefit from significantly less pollution than the average U.S. fossil-fueled power plant - 99 percent less nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide and particulates, and more than 50 percent less carbon dioxide. We will host a news conference with Senator Burns to review the application process, anticipated benefits and tour the power plant.

Senator Burns was instrumental in helping to secure funding through the Department of Energy for the development of this hybrid fuel cell system, and he will be on site for our formal dedication ceremony.

Please help us celebrate Earth Day and join us for a chance to learn more about the exciting benefits of producing clean energy.
