Power Makes it Easier to Help the Environment with a Lower Cost,
Fixed-Price Renewable
Aug 17, 2006 - PR Newswire
FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- First Choice Power
announces Simply Better Renewable - one of the lowest 100-percent
renewable electricity prices available in Texas.
"Until now, Texans had to pay a significant premium if they wanted to
purchase environmentally friendly, renewable energy," said Jeff Weiser,
co- president of First Choice Power. "Choosing renewable energy is a
personal choice, a statement, and we want it to be an easy and
affordable one for our customers to make."
Simply Better Renewable is available to new and existing First Choice
Power customers. It is a 12-month price plan with 100-percent renewable
energy. Prices vary across the state depending upon the transmission and
distribution service provider area, but Simply Better Renewable is one
of the lowest fixed-price renewable products available in each area.
First Choice Power will purchase this pollution-free power on behalf
of customers who sign up for the product. By purchasing renewable
energy, First Choice Power and its customers decrease the amount of
pollution produced by natural gas and fossil fuels.
In addition, Simply Better Renewable customers will receive 500 bonus
Simply Better Rewards(TM) points for signing up. The Simply Better
Rewards program gives customers an opportunity to redeem accumulated
points for popular merchandise, including name-brand items such as
Panasonic DVD players.
