Pipeline has federal approval

Aug. 22--TULSA -- Williams Cos. Inc. has received federal approval for a proposed $64 million Colorado pipeline, the Tulsa natural gas company said Monday.

 

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved construction and operation of the 30- inch pipeline, which will be 37.6 miles long.

 

The project will move natural gas from Williams' production facilities in northwest Colorado to existing interstate pipelines.

 

Williams said it expects to begin construction soon and hopes the pipeline will be in service before Jan. 1.
