Renewable Energy: Future Oriented Growth

The portion of renewable energies within the primary energy supply in Germany is approaching the 5% mark (4.6% at the end of 2005), as compared to 4.0 percent in 2004. In German electricity networks, a 10th of every kilowatt hour is generated utilizing renewable sources. The Federal Environmental Ministry projects that it is technically and economically feasible that 25% of the primary energy supply will be derived from renewable sources by 2020. Businesses within this sector already have a total revenue of 16.4 billion Euros which was produced by over 170,000 people employed (German) within this sector. This will only increase in the future. Wind and solar technologies are already major exports for Germany.

IBEF®, the international cooperation platform, offers export-oriented businesses the opportunity to make contacts from all over the world within the context of RENEXPO®/IHE® WoodEnergy/reCONSTRUCT® in Augsburg, taking place from Sept. 28-Oct. 1, 2006.
