Electronics groups join to research national e-waste recycling plan

Jan. 20

The National Center for Electronics Recycling and the Consumer Electronics Association are teaming up on a new research initiative to help develop a national electronics recycling infrastructure.

The groups are cooperating on the National Electronics Recycling Infrastructure Clearinghouse, which will bring together electronics recycling data from the public and private sectors. The data will be an industry-backed resource on the issues of operating various systems to collect and recycle electronics.

Local, state and national government officials, manufacturers, recyclers and nongovernmental groups will be able to access information from the initiative at www.erecyclingresource.org.
