Microgy Inc., PG&E
to jointly distribute biogas
Jan. 10Environmental Power Corp.´s Microgy
Inc. subsidiary plans to join up with Pacific Gas and Electric Co. to
distribute biogas.
Microgy signed a memorandum of understanding covering connection of
biogas projects in California with PG&E´s pipeline system.
"PG&E is open to broadening its access to additional natural gas
supplies for our customers," said Robert Howard, vice president of PG&E´s
California gas transmission unit. "This initiative is promising because
it offers new supplies that are renewable, cost-effective and located
within the state."
Microgy develops anaerobic digestion technology to transform manure
and food industry waste into biogas.
