online system for reporting toxics, hazardous waste Jan. 26 The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has launched a new Web-based system that helps businesses report reductions of toxic chemicals and hazardous waste. The public will have access via the Internet to see how companies have reduced toxic chemical use and hazardous waste generation. The changes mean that the DEQ is using e-mail almost exclusively to notify businesses about the reporting requirements and an online system to receive information from toxic chemical users and hazardous waste generators.
