Russia's gas output rises 1.1% on year to 640.63 Bcm in 2005

Russia's natural gas output rose 1.1% year-on-year to 640.63-bil cu m
in 2005, Russia's energy and industry ministry said Tuesday citing preliminary
data from its Central Dispatching Unit.
Gas giant Gazprom accounted for over 85% of the country's total gas
output last year, producing 547.25 Bcm, up 0.8% on the year.
Russia's has exports amounted to 152.48 Bcm, 8% more than in 2004.
In December 2005, 59.1 Bcm of gas, 4.5% more than in November 2005, the
ministry said without providing year-on-year comparisons.
Gazprom's output in December rose 3.5% on the month to 50.3 Bcm.
