Boise upholds
appeal of smaller power plant
Mar 24, 2006 - The Idaho Statesman, Boise
Mar. 24--Boise City Council Tuesday heard four appeals on Boise
Planning and Zoning Commission's Jan. 9 approval of Mountain View
Power's application to build two natural gas-fired power plants in East
Boise near Boise Factory Outlet. The council voted to deny the appeals
on the larger power plant and uphold the appeals of the smaller plant.
In upholding the appeal of the second plant, the council determined that
there was insufficient definition of the proposed power plant and thus
insufficient analysis of the plant for the planning and zoning
commission to have granted approval.
