Minnesota reaches milestone in number of E85 ethanol
fuel outlets
March 6Minnesota has become the first state
to reach 200 E85 ethanol outlets for flexible-fuel vehicles.
Flexible-fuel vehicles can use E85, which is a blend of at 85 percent
ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. There are more than 140,000
flexible-fuel vehicles in the state, and more than 5 million registered
nationwide, according to the American Lung Association of Minnesota.
The association announced the opening of the 200th outlet on behalf
of the statewide program. It maintains a Web site listing sites that
sell E85 fuel at
www.cleanairchoice.org.
