-Algerian oil minister Chakib Khelil said ahead of the OPEC meeting in Vienna later Wednesday as it is expected that OPEC has agreed to leave current production unchanged for the time being.

 

"The United States may have the power to cause harm and pain but it is also susceptible to harm and pain. So if the United States wishes to choose that path, let the ball roll."


- Javad Vaidi, head of the Iranian delegation at the UN nuclear watchdog, told AFP threatening the United States with reprisals in the dispute over Tehran's disputed nuclear activities.

 

"The Security Council should now put its weight behind the (IAEA) board's requests and the IAEA's efforts to resolve outstanding questions." Seltzer, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, urged Iran "to reinstate a full suspension of all (uranium) enrichment-related and reprocessing activities."
