-Saudi oil minister Ali Naimi said, on Sunday in reference to the rise in US stocks. The minister is not concerned by the rise in US stocks and did not see them depressing oil prices from current levels.

 
  "I think that in a year we will be able to sign an agreement on gas deliveries with the President (Vladimir) Putin and thereafter construct a gas pipeline through Turkey."
- Israeli Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Sunday on the Russian radio station Moscow Echo. This was in reference to Russia supplying gas to Israel under a new agreement in principle with Russian producer Gazprom after a pipeline has been laid through Turkey.
