SARASOTA, Fla., Mar 6, 2006 -- PRIMEZONE

Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal told StockInterview.com in an exclusive tape-recorded, in person interview how he feels about the flock of uranium miners coming to his state; "We're ready. They just need to start bringing the projects." He added, "This state is in play!" Freudenthal was asked if the unusually high staking activity, especially by two publicly traded Canadian companies, Strathmore Minerals (TSX-V:STM) (Other OTC:STHJF) and Energy Metals (TSX-V:EMC), was merely speculative; he responded, "I think we're past the sort of speculation of people running through and picking everything up. We're down to serious players trying to make serious decisions."

Freudenthal also praised Wyoming's experience with uranium mining, saying, "I think we have a very good regulatory climate. I think if they move into the 'in situ' (ISL) mining, we've got some experience with that."

The governor also explained his state's positive attitude toward uranium mining, "We've always sort of been comfortable with the uranium industry," Freudenthal told StockInterview.com. "The uranium industry is part of our history. It's not something that is frightening or alarming to us."

The StockInterview.com interview with Governor Freudenthal addresses the observation that since June 2004, numerous publicly traded junior uranium companies and speculators have created a staking frenzy in the state. Wyoming's Office of State Lands and Investments reported developers are snapping up tens of thousands of acres of state leases. An estimated 250 uranium exploration and development companies have exploded onto the international mining scene, primarily those publicly traded on the Canadian and Australian stock exchanges, to capitalize upon the more than 500 percent increase in spot uranium prices since late 2000.

StockInterview.com today began a five-part series, entitled "The New Face of Wyoming's Uranium Mining," found on the Internet news website, www.stockinterview.com. The first feature in the series is an interview with Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal, who talked frankly about uranium mining, nuclear power, how he plans to spend his state's nearly $2 billion surplus, and Wyoming's participation in the national power grid.
