Summary For December 11-17

The following activity, all associated with major flare activity from NOAA Sunspot Region 930, occurred during the update period:

Geomagnetic storms - Category G1 (minor) on 11-12 Dec; G2 (moderate), G3 (strong), and G4 (severe) on 14-15 Dec.

Solar radiation storms - Category S1 (minor) on 11-12 Dec; S2 (moderate) on 13-15 Dec.

Radio blackouts - Category R3 (strong) on 13-14 Dec.

Outlook For December 20-26

Category G1 (minor) on 20 and 22 December and G2 (moderate) on 21 December geomagnetic storms are expected due to a coronal hole high speed wind stream.
