Pima County, Ariz., is receiving some financial help to clean up waste left behind by illegal immigrants.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality is granting $40,000 to the county to be primarily used to identify and locate waste sites and clean them up. The county also will purchase trash containers with the grant money.

"The garbage left behind by people setting up these campsites is definitely an eyesore, but more importantly, it is dangerous and poses an environmental problem," Gov. Janet Napolitano said. "Even though removing this trash is clearly a federal responsibility, the state will help local communities in making some headway in cleaning up the area."
